The buyer was revealed to be Peter Thiel, the tech billionaire and co-founder of PayPal. The property was previously owned by the late telecom mogul Gary Winnick. At $130 million, the sale was the most expensive residential transaction recorded in Los Angeles in 2026, surpassing every other LA-area sale reported that year.
